Jeffreys Bay the well known seaside holiday destination, nestles like a jewel midway between the large Gamtoos and

Dolphins regularly surf the waves and Whales can be seen between
July and October.

Sporting facilities include surfing, tennis, golf, bowls and squash at the country
club, windsurfing on two lagoons and, naturally, fishing and ski-boating.
J'Bay is also the centre of South Africa's Tjokka (calamari) industry.
J'Bay has a thriving handcraft industry and the shops/factory shops offer brand
name surfing gear, beachwear, leather products and pottery.
It is the home base of the well known manufacturers of surfing gear such
as Billabong.
